La Cereza (The Cherry) is a community wet mill, research center, and eco-farm located in the lush green hills above San Agustín, Huila. From here, Felipe Ospina processes coffee from the surrounding farms, runs training courses, and carries out experiments to make coffee tastier and more sustainable. This regional blend is produced by hundreds of small-holder farmers in San Augustín. The intention behind this blend is to ensure these producers can achieve a profitable price for their coffee rather than being forced to sell it at a lower price on the commodity market. San Augustín is a famous coffee producing region, winning 31 of the 40 places in the 2019 Cup of Excellence competition! Each coffee making up this lot has been cupped separately before being blended by Felipe and his pro team at the La Cereza community wet mill.
