We're Hiring a Sous Chef, in Austin TX!

THE ROLE  

Proud Mary Coffee is looking for a skilled and motivated Sous Chef to support the Head Chef and help lead daily kitchen operations. This role is hands-on and focused on consistency, quality, and efficiency in a high-volume breakfast-focused kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support menu execution using seasonal, local produce

  • Maintain food quality, speed, and plating consistency

  • Assist with ordering, prep, inventory, and waste control

  • Ensure kitchen cleanliness, food safety, and organization

  • Lead the kitchen in the Head Chef s absence

  • Communicate effectively with FOH and management

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years experience in a high-volume kitchen

  • Solid knowledge of food safety and kitchen best practices

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods
