This is our kind of pre-workout—epic coffees that amplify the euphoria of training. For years, we’ve been fueling each other from across the street in Portland—Proud Mary on one side, R.A.D.® on the other. So, this collaboration felt more like a fist-bump than a launch. We teamed up to create something that captures that daily ritual—the moment before crushing your workout, when a truly great brew sets the tone. This coffee features two bangin’, naturally processed Geishas from two legends—Aliss Hartmann in Panama and Nahun Fernandez in Honduras. Brought together through 15 years of deep relationships, it’s the kind of coffee that hits just right: exceptional, euphoric, and ready to move when you are.
PREWORKOUT isn’t just about caffeine. It’s about ritual, rhythm, and that buzzing sense of anticipation before a training session. It’s about taking a breath before the grind and letting something extraordinary guide you into motion.
To mark this collab, we chose coffees with real meaning— two PMC relationships each spanning over a decade and two Naturally processed Geisha coffees that are about as 'Proud Mary' as it gets. With each of these producers, we have grown alongside them, shared wins, weathered tough seasons, and pushed each other to level up.
Aliss Hartmann comes from the iconic Hartmann coffee family of Panama. She grew up at Finca Hartmann, climbing trees and playing in the mill, and eventually started Finca Momoto in 2015 to pass on that same love of the land to her kids. Her coffees are vibrant, expressive, and full of life—just like the way she approaches everything she does.
Our relationship with Nahun Fernandez goes back to 2012, when we were scrappy, hungry, and sourcing with heart out of Melbourne. Nahun was doing the same — grinding, experimenting, pushing quality at every turn. Over the years, we’ve rebuilt together after hurricanes and pandemics, celebrated new farms and new family members, and stayed committed to one thing: doing the work right, with care and consistency.
And of course, there’s the Geisha. Originally from Ethiopia, it landed in Panama in the 1960s and quietly lived in obscurity until the Peterson family of Hacienda La Esmeralda entered it into the 2005 Best of Panama competition. Since then, it’s been a game-changer—winning comps, breaking price records, and showing up in cups that stop you in your tracks. This particular lot was naturally processed, which means more fruit, more funk, and more fun.
PREWORKOUT is more than a coffee. It’s a connection—between brands, between people, and between that first sip and the fire that follows.
