Entre Volcanes (Among Volcanos) is a project founded in 1990 by the Falla family to support small specialty coffee growers in Guatemala. Today, it includes around 500 producers and is continuing to grow.
Coffee grown in the Antigua Valley is so prized for its quality that in the early 2000s the Guatemala Coffee Association (Anacafé) created the “Genuine Antigua” denomination of origin. Coffee from the Entre Volcanes program, being from many farms nestled between three volcanos in the Antigua Valley, epitomizes this quality.
Entre Volcanes provides local farmers with financial aid, technical assistance, and heavily subsidized health and dental care at the mill clinic. A full-time agronomist supports the growers year-round, offering guidance, providing seedlings, and ensuring the use of best agricultural practices. Customized training sessions are also available, tailored to meet each farm's unique needs.
