About the producers:
Again our long-term friends Finca Hartmann deliver the goods! The Hartmann’s are the first farm in Panama to grow and export Maragogype. Hailing from Santa Clara at 1500 masl, the natural process adds depth to the tropical fruits, a big syrupy mouthfeel, and complex spice flavors.
This Maragogype is one of Aliss Hartmann’s favorite coffees and is one of the Hartmanns treasures. You will be hard pressed to find anything close to this exotic profile. The complexity of flavor is innate in this varietal and exemplified through the immaculate coffee processing put in by these amazing producers.
Finca Hartmann is a family enterprise founded in 1940 by Ratibor Hartmann Troetsch. Finca Hartman is regarded as one of Panamas finest estates. In the mid-20th century, Ratibor and his brother worked as guides for the American ornithologist and avian paleontologist Alexander Wetmore during his annual scientific expeditions in Panama. This love of nature has carried through to the working of the farm where a great deal of effort is put into ensuring the farm minimizes its environmental impact.
