Finca Santa Lucía is an organic certified farm in Costa Rica’s West Valley region, operated by Ricardo Pérez and his daughter, Mariana. Producing organically certified coffees can be challenging, and expensive, but Don Ricardo and his family are dedicated to sustainable farming practices and believe it’s the only way to ensure a sustainable future for generations to come. All of Don Ricardo’s hard work has paid dividends, and Finca Santa Lucía is a perennial finalist in the Costa Rica Cup of Excellence competition, having competed every year since its inception in 2007.
All Finca Santa Lucía’s coffees are processed at the Pérez family’s mill, Helsar de Zarcero. Together with his brothers, Marvin and Felipe, Ricardo processes his own coffees, as well as coffees from over a dozen other local producers, ensuring full traceability of all lots.
